Joe Budden on Eminem's 'Untouchable': "Worst song I've ever heard"

Eminem’s ninth studio album, Revival is expected to be released on December 15, 2017. We have recently heard the single ‘Walk on Water’ which features Beyoncé. The track received mixed feedback from the community. Some people enjoyed all of Eminem’s honesty and vulnerability on the track. While others did not think the lead single was a hit.

Another single from the Revival album was just put out and it’s stirring up many reactions from the public. The single is called ‘Untouchable’ and the American rapper raps from multiple perspectives on the song. He switches back and forth from the perspective of a racist police officer to an African American. "Black boy, Black boy, we ain't gonna lie to you/Black boy, Back boy, we don't like the sight of you," Eminem raps from the racist police office perspective. The track touches on racial profiling, white privilege, America’s long racist history and more.

There is so much packed in this track that it’s definitely going to upset some, such as Joe Budden who is signed to Eminem. Budden shared his thoughts on Complex’s Every Day Struggle debate show this morning (December 13, 2017), “One of the worst songs I’ve ever heard and its giving me a bad taste about some others things” Joe said. Although being, as Joe said “disheartened”, by Eminem’s recent single Budden mentioned that he knows that Eminem feels just as strongly as Black people about the racial injustices that are occurring in America. “I know em so I know that he is not the person that is doing this. Em feels like we feel. I can stand by that. I can tell you that for a fact,” Joe said “but you will not use the plight of black people, not him but Interscope or whoever the fuck is behind that, to sell a fucking record and widen your profit margin. I’m not here for it.”
