Joe Budden recently parted ways from Complex. On December 19th when Dj Whoo Kid co-hosted the show in Joe’s absence. The day before, December 18th, Joe and wife Cyn Santana welcomed a baby boy into the world. Some began to speculate that Joe was absent because his new born. While on the other hand, some began to rumor about Joe leaving Complex.
Sadly, the rumors were indeed true. Dj Akademics took to Twitter December 20th and put some tweets that confirmed the Joe and Complex split. “Everday Struggle with me and joe was the best thing to happen to complex and hiphop in years. Believe me I want it to continue … believe me … i wish i could do anything to to make it work,” Akademics tweeted.

Joe, creator of the Everyday Struggle show, shared why Complex wasn’t the right “home” for him on his podcast. “I’m not going to not be credited, not be compensated, not be made to feel good, be treated poorly,” Joe explained. According to Budden Complex didn’t meet his needs as a creator and was underappreciated.
Less than a week later Budden collaborated with Charlamagne Tha God for Revolt TV’s show “This Year Was Dope/Trash”. The show was a year end wrap up in which Joe and Charlamagne shared their thought on the best and worst moments in music and culture.
Budden also previously sent a message to anyone who wanted to work with him post his Complex departure. It appears Revolt will meet joins needs and is the perfect home for Joe as a creator.
January 1st an official announcement was made by Diddy, via Instagram, that Joe would be joining Revolt TV. At Diddy’s New Year house party Joe and Diddy took some time out to record a short video to share their new partnership. “I need to ask you a question,” Diddy said “are you ready to get this money with me” Diddy continued. “Are you ready for us to put this Black excellence on a whole other platform” to which Joe firmly replied “yes”.
Surely 2017 has been quite an amazing year for Joe Budden. Joe recognized that as well,
“God has been in control of all this. This was a great fucking year. like In unemployment, i project 2018 to be far greater, i’m not worried,” he declared. It can be projected that 2018 will hold even more greatness for Joe. Congratulations!
