Angelica: When and why did you come up with the name Exquisite Eye? Roughly how many people are behind Exquisite Eye or are you operating Exquisite Eye alone?
Bree Holt: The name Exquisite Eye came about my junior year of high school. It is me alone but through out my journey I definitely get assistance by family and friends.
Angelica: I can honestly say that your work is full of so much creativity and is very enticing. What influenced your unique & creative style?
Bree: I just like to get behind the camera and have fun. A lot of the time I come up with my best work when I am out of my comfort zone and trying something new.
Angelica: Do you think its necessary for the model and the photographer to have a connection to produce the “perfect shot”?
All images above belong to Exquisite Eye Photography
Bree: Definitely, I believe we both should be at a peaceful state of mind to feel comfortable enough to create freely.
Angelica: Will photography be a lifelong career or do you plan to eventually put the camera down and pursue a different passion?
Bree: I will never put the camera down, God gave me a gift to see things the way I see it and I will continue to share that with the world.
Angelica: Many people often have trouble balancing their personal life and their business life. Do you ever feel like you have to put your personal life on hold so your photography career can continue to excel?
Bree: Yes, I don’t have much of a personal life. I'm Thankful that my career keeps me busy enough that me not having much of a personal life doesn’t bother me as much because I am occupied doing what I love.
Angelica: You have published photography for Vogue and Angie Stone as well as collaborated with Marissa & Diggy Simmons. What did those achievements feel like for you?
Bree: It feels great, I am thankful for every awesome person that I am able to create with. Being published for Vogue Italy was super dope and can’t wait for more.
Angelica: You have photographed many beautiful people of color which caste them in such a positive empowering light. Did you initially intend for Exquisite Eye to serve as a platform to uplift people of color and photograph them in such an empowering way?
Bree: Exquisite Eye is to uplift all people, I find the exquisiteness in everyone around me.
Angelica: On your website you have short films, interviews and blogs. It seems that you are aiming for Exquisite Eye to go very far. What are your goals for not only Exquisite Eye but for yourself as an individual?
Bree: Of course and with patience, hard work and prayer I can be exactly who I dream to be. My goal is that no matter what I decide to do, always stay true to myself.
