Keeping Up With Philly: Life Do Grow Farm In North Philadelphia

Urban Creators which was founded in 2010 is a organized and diverse group of young people who are driven to reclaim vacant land in Philadelphia. Life Do Grow Farm was started by The Urban Creators Denzel Thompson, Alex Epstein, Jeaninne Kayembe, Philip Armstrong, Golden Murray, Tyler Ray, Devon Bailey, and Troi Lauren. The farm has been functioning for four years now is a very valuable program for youth, local businesses, schools and ex-convicts. Life Do Grow farm teaches individuals about sustainable farming, healthy eating, herbal health remedies, landscape management and much more.

Each member united under a common goal to restore economic resilience and food justice in North Philadelphia's community. Currently they are seeking to bring their services to Philadelphia schools for the youth.

Due to Urban Creators fresh produce is available and easily accessible to many families in North Philly. The issues of having little to no fresh food and organic food are now being broken down and fixed due to this amazing urban garden which provides services to many members of the community. Urban creators are on the path to reforming communities and implementing sustainable food systems in Philadelphia Neighborhoods.
